Since the takeover of Velltrans 3 years ago, the order volume and the number of trucks have almost doubled. Today, Galliker has 93 employees, 58 trucks and 15 vans on site. The core business of Galliker Portugal mainly comprises spare parts logistics for numerous car and truck brands in Portugal. The spare parts brought in from Benelux, Scandinavia and Germany are consolidated in Madrid and distributed to end customers in Portugal via the Perafita, Mangualde, Alverca and Esmoriz platforms. Galliker is thus the leader in just-in-time delivery of automotive parts in Portugal. Galliker also offers the option of transporting cargo from Portugal to Switzerland, Benelux and the Scandinavian countries.
Galliker has also been running a Driver Academy near Famalicão https://www for three years with great success .galliker.pt/en/driver-academy. The young drivers trained there learn the German language alongside their professional skills. As an effective response to the increasing shortage of skilled workers, they are a welcome and proven addition to the driver teams at Galliker in Switzerland.

Inauguration of the renovated Galliker branch in Perafita, Portugal
On September 19, 2025, the renovation work in Perafita was officially completed with a small celebration. Rolf Galliker presented the successful renovation in the presence of the owners of the property, the Jervel family, various customers, the architect Mendanha, the employees of the company and the team from the Galliker Driver Academy. The roof was replaced, new, ultra-modern loading docks were built, the office wing was refreshed and all the facades were given the familiar Galliker look.
