"Greenpower" project to be discontinued

The "Greenpower" innovation project in Dagmersellen will not be continued following a joint agreement between the partners involved. Following a comprehensive strategic reassessment by Emmi Switzerland, this decision was taken after consultation with the project partners. This decision reflects the economic and technological framework conditions that have materialized in the course of project development. In particular, the long-term economic viability, the complexity of implementation and the regulatory framework conditions were re-analyzed.

Joint commitment to a sustainable and resilient energy supply

In 2022, Emmi Switzerland, CKW, Galliker Transport and Linde Gas Switzerland signed a declaration of intent to build a wood-fired power plant as part of the "Greenpower" project. The aim was to contribute to a resilient and economical energy supply at the Dagmersellen site. The use of biogenic energy sources to establish an energy ecosystem was a central component of the shared vision.

Consensual decision with a view to the future

The partners' decision to end the project was made in a constructive dialog. The project partners would like to thank everyone involved for their commitment and constructive collaboration over the past three years. The knowledge gained and the good partnership form a valuable basis for future joint initiatives in the field of sustainable energy supply.

Sustainability remains a strategic focus

All companies involved remain committed to their responsibility for a sustainable energy supply. They will continue to make targeted investments in solutions that are ecologically effective, economically viable and tailored to local conditions - with the aim of consistently pursuing their CO₂e reduction targets.
