The Renault Group began switching to CO2-neutral, emission-free delivery of vehicles to dealers back in summer 2023 and was one of the first customers of Galliker Green Logistics. The number of electric car transporters delivering for the Renault Group has now grown from the original two to five. An additional electric car transporter is now starting, from December 2024.
Claudia Meyer, Managing Director, Renault Group:
"Renault Group is pursuing the goal of being climate-neutral in Europe by 2040. We are pursuing this goal in all areas, including, of course, vehicle transportation to our dealerships. The fact that we can now further increase emission-free deliveries through additional capacity at Galliker is an important step towards achieving our climate targets. The expansion of our successful collaboration underlines both our commitment to sustainable vehicle logistics."
Expanded collaboration means lower CO₂ impact
Deliveries by the five electric car transporters saved an impressive 486,000 kilograms of CO₂ in 2024. The sixth e-truck will increase the savings to around 583,200 kilograms of CO2 per year, a significant contribution to reducing the ecological footprint of Swiss vehicle transportation.
Rolf Galliker, COO and VRP of Galliker:
"The topic of sustainability has always been anchored in our strategy, and Galliker Green Logistics is making a major contribution. The successful cooperation with customers such as the Renault Group encourages us time and again to further expand our offering. By the end of 2024, our fleet of e-trucks will already include 100 vehicles, 17 of which are e-car transporters. We are very much looking forward to continuing on this path with Renault and other customers and partners and to continuing to achieve great things together."
