With this project, we are planning and implementing the necessary infrastructure expansion in Altishofen and at all national locations so that we can operate around 650 trucks in our fleet electrically in 10 years' time and thus take a big step towards our goal of zero CO2 emissions.
Wednesday, May 28, 07.30 am. Everything is ready for the small ceremony with a big impact. What was developed in the first six months of 2025 is now ready to be signed.
We are talking about the necessary documents and records, calculations and timetables that are needed to get such a large project officially up and running.
It was the honor of Esther Studer-Galliker, Peter Galliker and Rolf Galliker to sign the necessary documents for the corresponding application to the Swiss Federal Office of Energy (SFOE).
With the Zero Emissions Network project, we want to create an independent network of existing PV systems as well as new charging infrastructure, battery storage, transformer stations and the necessary control systems at each national location.
The aim is to fully electrify the respective truck fleets in the stores and to electrify the majority of them in Altishofen.
The clean solar power produced locally by our PV system is to be stored in large battery storage systems and made available at night for charging the e-trucks. Hence Zero Emissions Network.
In the future, this system will also make it possible to bridge any power interruptions or power outages of up to several hours at the respective location. This will enable us to further consolidate our status as a system-relevant company.
Now that the documents have been signed, things are really getting underway. The next e-charging stations are due to go into operation in Aclens this fall.
Galliker aclens is thus taking another huge step towards a CO2-neutral future and is an absolute leader in the industry with a project of this magnitude.
