The Galliker Green Day provided an opportunity to discuss the many concepts and systems already in use. Galliker has been focusing on green logistics for years. The company has been combining road and rail transport since 1995. This distribution of goods via the company's own network with decentralized branches allows goods flows to be bundled more efficiently. This leads to fewer journeys and consequently to a significant reduction in CO2 emissions. In addition, Galliker has installed photovoltaic systems on all new buildings over the past ten years, which could supply around 1860 single-family homes with electricity.
The great interest in the topics surrounding green logistics showed in an exemplary manner that sustainability affects us all personally and that its dynamics are developing rapidly. From now on, Galliker intends to play a significantly more active role in this important and correct direction.
